ABOUT SOLAR PLEXED PRODUCTIONS
That fire in your belly, tummy glow, beam of light, ball of energy, care bear stare of your life's purpose that nests itself in the pit of your stomach - that is Solar Plexed. That is the feeling I want to cultivate with you. ​

This freshly-founded business is the culmination of 8+ years in events and hospitality, working with local organizations throughout the lower mainland. Its name is a term coined by me (Hi! I'm Jade!) in an attempt to articulate the high I get when collaborating with creators and curating community experiences in pursuit of love - for this earth and for one another, because we are better together.

How and why we gather matters. By focusing on the intention behind each event, we can foster change and meaningful connection together. With this in mind, Solar Plexed prioritizes partnerships with organizations that proudly share a similar mindset and value inclusivity.

While I do have a team I call on during busy seasons, you can expect to be working directly with me, Jade.

I started Solar Plexed because I love bringing people together. I admire what individuals are capable of, and am absolutely blown away by what communities can accomplish.
​
That may all sound like intangible twaddle, but this belief is at the root of much of what I do. Outside of Solar Plexed, I am proud serve as a Rotarian and Board Director of the Chilliwack Creative Arts Council and Pride Society. I also hold a position on the Green Party of Canada Federal Council as Co-Chair of the Young Greens of Canada, and continue to volunteer with various local organizations throughout the Fraser Valley. This work is not done to buffer my professional bio, it is done with a full heart and deeply rooted belief that we are better together.

I LIVE, WORK, AND PLAY ON STOLEN LANDS
Growing up in the Fraser Valley, it look me far too long to learn about the atrocities that were committed against the people who had cared for these lands before. As I continue to learn and unlearn, I am increasingly aware of the lasting impacts of this genocide and actively search for ways to honour the lives and lands that were stolen, and support those living under persistent oppression.

In an effort to do so, proceeds from all events Solar Plexed is involved with will go directly towards funding local artists, storytellers, and non-profit organizations. All partners will be encouraged to further engage, build, and strengthen relationships with indigenous groups with a collective goal of social justice and equity.
